Ariana Resources reports positive exploration results at Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe

Ariana Resources plc, an AIM-listed mineral exploration and development company with gold interests in Africa and Europe, has provided an update on its ongoing exploration efforts at the 100%-owned Dokwe gold project in Zimbabwe. The focus is on areas where resources have not yet been defined, and several promising opportunities have been identified.

  • Soil sampling and pXRF analysis at Dokwe South have led to the discovery of a quartz vein breccia.
  • A preliminary rock-chip sampling programme, consisting of 22 samples, returned seven samples with silver grades exceeding 10.0 g/t, with a peak of 35.2 g/t silver.
  • A new regional pXRF soil sampling programme is currently underway, designed to cover the entire claims area.
  • Regional exploration and resource infill drilling are in the final stages of planning, with all prospects located within 7 km of the planned Dokwe processing plant.
