C29 Metals expands Ulytau uranium project footprint with two new licence applications in Kazakhstan

C29 Metals has submitted two new licence applications in southern Kazakhstan, extending the coverage around its Ulytau uranium project to a total area of 252 square kilometers. These new licences aim to explore an additional 12 kilometers of potentially mineral-rich terrain that geologists believe could be part of the same uranium-bearing trend as the Ulytau deposit.

The southern licence application is contiguous with the existing Ulytau area, extending to the south and east of the current project boundaries. The northern application is situated to the north of the Ulytau tenement, adjacent to the historic Bota Burum uranium mine.

Managing Director Shannon Green highlighted the strategic importance of these applications, stating, “The potential alignment with the mineralised trends hosting the high-grade Ulytau Uranium Project is very promising. This expansion aligns with our strategic goal to grow our exploration footprint in Kazakhstan and advance our programs into 2025.”

In addition to the licence applications, C29 Metals has engaged with the local community through two consultation days in Aksuyek, located 20 kilometers from the project site. The community has expressed support for the planned exploration activities, which will be based out of Aksuyek.

On July 9, C29 Metals formalized its commitment to the local community by signing a social agreement with the district government. This agreement outlines the company’s support for social development projects in Aksuyek, reinforcing the collaborative relationship and mutual benefits for both parties.
